We took an air trip in our Hyderabad to Dharamshala vlog. A trip back home. It’s about holiday time, we say goodbye to our lovely Hyderabad city and move back to our hometown Dharamshala. It’s always good to slow down and reboot yourself from the never stopping life.
It’s a day trip including a change of aeroplane at Delhi terminal, since we’re surplus on our luggage, it took us an extra effort to prepare for our trip. The packing was done 2 days in advance which can be clearly seen in the video, the amount of luggage we were carrying was huge (20 Kgs approx.)
From Hyderabad to Dharamshala – Start of Journey:
We started at around 3:00 am in morning. Booked an Uber to the airport and there we were at the Hyderabad airport by 5:00 am. Ready to board our Indigo flight to Delhi IGI airport scheduled at 6:00 am.
Amid our journey, there was the extra painful payment we had to pay for our luggage. Take note of it, it will save your day. For every extra kilo, you will be required to pay Rs 400 for domestic flights. And we paid a whopping Rs 8000.
Fast forward, we reached the Delhi airport in the early morning hours at around 8:30 am. Our next flight was scheduled in the afternoon at 1:00 pm to Dharamshala. We had plenty of time in hand to explore the airport.

Coincidently, our trip and Karva Chauth fell on the same day. Therefore, we couldn’t enjoy the airport meals at some of our delicious restaurants. But we did enjoy a surprise “mehfil” by an Indian music band singing at the airport. It was delightful. We have captured some shots of the same in our vlog.
It was fun to be at the airport for a quick haul. We finally got our boarding call and we were ready to take our next flight to our final destination. It was a compact aircraft, the mini Boeing with the air blades. A little shaky but suitable to fly over the hills and land you safely.

Take note, we paid for the luggage again since the aircraft was of Spicejet this time. We had to re-enter the airport and follow the process again. The charges were the same i.e Rs 8000 extra.
In about an hour we finally landed at Kangra airport in Himachal Pradesh, flying over the beautiful green valley. It was a fun trip, we enjoyed every moment of it. Check out the view from our hometown Dharamshala –
