Let’s jump into the world of tourism.
Who is a Tourist?
A tourist is a person who stays at a place other than his home for more than 24 hours.
Types of Tourism and Tourists:
1. Adventure tourism:
A person who goes for some adventure activities like river rafting, Bungee jumping, mountain climbing, etc then he will be called an adventure tourist, and all these mentioned activities will come under adventure tourism.
2. Bicycle tourism:
People who travel miles after miles on a bicycle will be called bicycle tourists and this type of tourism is called bicycle tourism.
3. Business tourism:
When the purpose of the visit is related to business-like meetings, conventions, training, etc then that is called business tourism and the person will be called a business tourist.

4. Black/ Dark tourism:
When you visit someplace which is related to some bad historical events like visiting Jallianwala Bagh, India.
5. Cultural tourism:
When you visit someplace especially to know about the culture of some people like how they live, what food they eat, what festivals they celebrate then that will be called cultural tourism.
6. Ecotourism:
The places which are not visited by many people and are untouched by them all those places will come under eco-tourism.
7. Education tourism:
When the purpose of your visit is related to education then that is called education tourism.
8. Geo tourism:
When someone visits geological sites like the mountain, landscape, etc then that is called Geo-tourism.

9. Leisure tourism:
When you visit someplace with the purpose of relaxation and to feel refreshed then that will come under leisure tourism.
10. Medical tourism:
When the purpose of the visit is related to the medical area like check-ups, some treatment, etc then that will be called medical tourism.
11. Religious tourism:
When you visit the pilgrims then that will be called religious tourism.
12. Rural tourism:
Visiting the rural areas to know about their problems, to help them, or just to see how they live without basic facilities then that will be called rural tourism. There are many more topics that I will cover in my upcoming videos.
