Huobi Exchange expressed interest in Pi Network mainnet launch. May list Pi Token

Huobi Exchange will follow up Pi network’s updates ahead of its mainnet launch. Pi token listing is under review.

Christmas brought exciting news for the Pi community and Pi token holders. Huobi, one of the leading crypto exchanges in the world has expressed its interest in listing Pi token after reviewing its mainnet, post launch.

Launched in 2018 by Stanford PHDs Nicolas Kokkalis & Chengdion Fan, Pi network has over 35 million members worldwide. It was primarily developed to connect users with cryptocurrency using a simple mobile based crypto mining app.

Pi token is the native currency of the network. Users can utilize the token to pay transaction fees on the network. It can only be earned using the app’s mining feature.

Based on an invite only program, users can mine pi tokens by downloading the app available on both android & iOS devices. The network works on the Stellar Consensus protocol developed by Stellar Foundation.

The network has launched the enclosed mainnet in Dec 2021. However, the public mainnet launch is still under development. Meantime, Huobi exchange keen interest in the network’s development has received a positive response from the Pi community.

At the time of writing, Pi token has not been listed on any cryptocurrency exchange (CEX or DEX). Moreover, the token cannot be traded off the network app which makes it limited in adoption.

Huobi and the community members are awaiting the release of its mainnet in 2023. There are high hopes of building a better ecosystem on the Pi network with many speculating the launch of multiple dapps within 6 months of its mainnet launch.

If everything goes according to plan, Huobi will probably list Pi tokens which can be a game-changing event for the Pi community.
