How to start business on Flipkart to become a Flipkart seller

In this post, I will explain how to start business on Flipkart. If you want to be a seller on an online marketplace like Flipkart or you want to expand your already established presence, this post is for you. Learn about setting up and running your account on Flipkart as a Flipkart seller. How to start business on Flipkart, Walkthrough steps –

Register as a Flipkart seller:

In order to register yourself as a Flipkart seller, you need to visit the Flipkart seller website. Once the page opens, you will see a register now button asking for your 10 digits mobile number (as shown in the image).

After the number confirmation, it will ask you to enter your location address with a pin code. This will help Flipkart check its services in your area. If the area provided by you is serviceable by Flipkart, you will be allowed to follow and complete the next steps which are about documentation and verification.

Flipkart seller – Required documents:

In this step, you need to enter and submit the soft copies of the required documents for verification purpose. Below is the list of documents required for this process –

Take a note, all these documents are required to be uploaded on the Flipkart seller website, there’s no need to take a photocopy or submit the hard copy of the same. Everything is to be done online.

Flipkart Account verification & activation:

Once all the required documents are submitted, you need to wait for 3-4 working days to get them verified by the Flipkart support team. To check, if the verification and activation of your account is completed, hover over to the Manage profile option on the top right-hand side of your screen and click Business details as shown in the image –

Open up the section of business details and there you will find green tick marks on your submissions. If you see the green tick on your panel, Congratulations! you’re all set to be a Flipkart seller. If not, wait for some time to get it activated. If there’s an error in the upload or an incorrect entry, Flipkart will notify you with the red alert. Check the image below for reference –
