Opened on October 17, 1999, the Arena was known as Staples centre until the crypto.com exchange acquired the naming rights in December 2021.

Crypto.com Arena is a multi-purpose indoor Arena built in Downtown Los Angeles next to Los Angeles Convention Center complex along Figueroa Street. The arena is the home venue for many sports teams in the country.

Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women’s National Basketball Association are some of the top teams associated with the Arena.

Talking about space, the arena hosts more than 250 events and over 3 million guests each year. It has an impressive 950,000 square feet of space.

If you’re looking for the seating capacity according to the event type then here’s your number. Crypto.com Arena has a seating capacity of up to 19,067 for basketball, 18,340 for ice hockey and approximately 20,000 for concerts or other sporting events.

Another important question for the visitors is the bag policy. Bags, backpacks, purses, clear bags, totes, fanny packs and camera bags are not allowed. There’s a mandatory security inspection of all the times that the visitors are planning to bring into the arena.

However, small clutches and wallets smaller than 5″ x 9″ x 1″ can be carried inside after proper inspection. Medical and parental bags smaller than 14” x 14” x 6” are required to go through an X-Ray machine security screening.

When it comes to parking, the arena is easily accessible from major freeways with ample parking options for visitors.

According to the official website, there are 3,300 parking spaces at Crypto.com owned parking lots. In addition to it, there are more than 10,000 parking spaces available nearby under 10 minutes of walking distance from the arena.
